  Don’t miss today’s performance at 19:30, Cankarjev dom/Gallus Hall (March 20th,2017) The Company has performed worldwide in over 200 cities in 40 countries on every major continent and is recognised as one of the most innovative and powerful forces in the dance-theatre world. The dance company toured Slovenia almost two decades ago with a three-piece programme that included Jones’ transfixing solo. Performed with live musicians, Play and Play: An evening of movement and music applies Jones’s inventive choreography to some of the most important Western musical works of our time,in Ljubljana performed by the Accadémia String Quartet.

House of Experiments

  Based on similar wacky, fun and educational places around the globe, the extraordinary House of Experiments features three rooms of purpose-built experiments for the ultimate hands-on experience. Visitors are free to wander around as they wish, engaging with anything that takes their fancy, whether it’s a giant bubble maker, electronic insects, dancing liquid or a machine that plays music according to your weight. They also provide what they call Adventures, namely small performances that aim to show different scientific principles, with enticing names like the Centre of Gravitology, Eggology etc. Written guides are available in English and other languages. ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA (UK) – CLASSICAL

London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra ranks among the world’s best symphony orchestras. It was founded in 1946 by the conductor Sir Thomas Beecham, who remained its musical director until his death in 1961. The orchestra was subsequently led by conductors such as Rudolf Kempe, Antal Dorati, André Prévin, Walter Weller, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Yuri Temirkanov. Since 1996, its chief conductor has been Daniele Gatti, who is set to be succeeded by Charles Dutoit in 2009. The patron of the orchestra is His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.
