Sunshine steps – Healthy Lifestyle – Our new Partner
We see the adverse effects on people’s health and mental well-being living in cities, eating processed foods, and leading sedentary lives. People are disconnected from their natural environment, locally grown foods, and their own bodies. Our mission is to bridge these divides by helping children and adults to reconnect with nature outside the urban environment, learn how to eat healthier, and lead more active lives through activities and events we organize. Our events include healthy cooking workshops, exercise activities, theme dinners, psychology workshops, sport events, taking people to farms where they hand pick fruits and vegetables, etc. By raising funds, we will help families in needs. Charity Bazaar at Grand Union Hotel
This weekend on the 2nd of December from 10:00 until 16:00 is the annual International Charity Bazaar at Grand Union Hotel. This event is hosted by the SILA International Woman Club, with 35 embassies joining this great event. This includes amazing food, souvenirs, wines and much more will be available for you to browse and choose from. This bazar has been hosting guests for 25 years this year and contributed to more than 100 charities aimed at people with health disadvantage, financial struggling, and family problems. Also raising 1.5 million euros for the brighter future of Slovenia. This year the Bazaar is directed at helping the elderly and people who have difficulty living alone. December’s Magical Christmas Market
After autumn slowly turns into winter, Ljubljana comes alive in December with beautiful scenarios all around the city. This includes the famous Christmas market which is open all day from 10am to 10pm. You can find everything from mulled wine to stocking presents for your friends and family. This year the stalls will be at the Breg embankment, Petkovškovo nabrežje embankment, in the Central market at Pogačarjev trg square and in the courtyard of Ljubljana Castle.
