- Slovenian Coast
Nothing beats a coffee by the sea, right? Our seaside towns Piran (our favorite!), Izola, Portoroz and Koper are full of nice bars with a view, seafood restaurants and lovely walking paths. »Slovenian Istria« has a special charm and the best weather no matter the season. If you are into walking or cycling we recommend you to try a really lovely walking path from Koper to Izola. And don’t forget to taste some ice cream on your way!
- Brda – The Tuscany of Slovenia
Countless vineyards, medieval villages, amazing gastronomy and quality wines. When it comes to wine Brda are most known for it’s region-specific – a refreshing white wine named Rebula. We recommend you to book a wine tasting with a view and enjoy at least 2 days exploring around Smartno and other charming places. You will not regret it, that’s for sure.
Probably the most known lake in Slovenia is Lake Bled. You can walk around it or climb on a mini hill for a better view. We recommend you Ojstrica and Mala Osojnica – two hills which rise above the west shore of Lake Bled. After a short hike you will be rewarded with one of the best views ever. While visiting Bled don’t forget to try our famous cream cake with a cup of coffee. Life’s short, enjoy it!
- Triglav National Park
One thing is for sure: hiking is probably one of the most popular activities in Slovenia. We are pretty much obsessed with our mountains and we want to discover them all. The most spectacular Slovenian mountains are the Julian Alps – the home of the amazing Triglav national Park. The optimal hiking season runs from June till October when the majority of 176 mountain huts, shelters and bivouacs are open for hikers.
- Soca River and Bovec
Well, the Soča River Valley is definitely a right place for nature and adrenaline lovers . Activities such as kayaking, whitewater rafting, canyoning, hydrospeeding, and paragliding are most popular in this region. The colour of the water is amazing and the nature around will take your breath away.
