Year 2020 was challenging in many ways. It was year of words such as “challenge,” “hardship” and “crisis”. It was year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, face masks and anxiety. But for all the hardship this year ushered in, 2020 has also provided a unique opportunity to reflect. To stop for a while and appreciate the little things. December’s Magical Christmas Market
After autumn slowly turns into winter, Ljubljana comes alive in December with beautiful scenarios all around the city. This includes the famous Christmas market which is open all day from 10am to 10pm. You can find everything from mulled wine to stocking presents for your friends and family. This year the stalls will be at the Breg embankment, Petkovškovo nabrežje embankment, in the Central market at Pogačarjev trg square and in the courtyard of Ljubljana Castle. Other things offered are jewellery, Slovenian souvenirs, honey, scarves and much more. Also lots of food and drinks are available so you indulge yourself while observing the beautiful decorations and atmosphere. CHRISTMAS CONCERT BY EROIKA IN THE MAGNIFICENT GRAND UNION HALL
On 23 December at 19:30, you are invited to attend the Gala Christmas Concert on the 10th anniversary of the vocal ensemble Eroika and listen to three outstanding vocalists, who will be performing with a choir and an orchestra conducted by Patrik Greblo. The concert will take place in the magnificent Grand Union Hall. You are also kindly invited to a pre-concert dinner in the restaurant Atelje.
